MARINE DEBRIS PROJECT:

The PlanSea team has worked with Carey Morishige, Pacific Islands Outreach Coordinator for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Marine Debris Program (MDP) to help educate people on the negative effects of trash that plagues our oceans worldwide. The MDP works across the nation with governmental and non-governmental entities to address marine debris. In Hawai`i, the Marine Debris Program works cooperatively with various NOAA offices as well as other marine debris partners to help protect Hawaii ês environment from the impacts of marine debris.
